Kim Kardashian: Intuition led to divorce decision

A grim-looking Kim Kardashian said "intuition" led her to end her 72-day-old marriage, insisting in an Australian television interview there was no "right or wrong" way to handle the situation.

The hosts of Australia's "Sunrise" program grilled the 31-year-old reality TV star on how hard she worked to save her brief marriage to pro basketball player Kris Humphries, asking whether she had sought counseling before filing for divorce.

Kardashian, who is in Australia with her sister Khloe to promote a line of handbags, has faced withering criticism since she filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday after just 10 weeks of marriage.

She also said she has not decided what to do with her 20.5-carat engagement ring, or with the gifts she received from her 172 thousand dollar wedding registry.

Deepika invited to promote Olympics!

She is badminton legend Prakash Padukone's daughter and has played the sport at the state level. But Deepika Padukone chose to become an actor instead. Yet, the Om Shanti Om (2007) girl is in huge demand from various institutions to promote sports in India.

It's an open secret that Deepika is the face of the Force India F1 Team. Now, the Sports Development Corporation (SDC) has approached the actor to star in a motivational campaign that is being worked on for the Olympics next year. She has also been offered to become the face of badminton in India.

Apparently, representatives of the board promoting the Olympics believe that Deepika would be perfect for the job because they are looking for a celebrity, that people can look up to. The fact that she has achieved so much at such a young age also doubles up as a motivational factor, as does her positive attitude towards sports and fitness.

Deepika too is believed to be keen to take time out for the motivational campaign that is aimed towards helping India achieve more glory at the 2012 Olympics.

Despite Rs 170cr income, 'RA.One not a hit?'

Eros Entertainment, distributors of Shah Rukh Khan’s RA.One, claims that the superhero film has grossed over Rs 170 cr at the box-office. This number also includes the international collections until Sunday. But according to film trade followers, the Anubhav Sinha directorial, which was made on a reported budget of Rs 150 cr, is certainly not a hit yet.

Trade sources estimate that the collections haven’t exceeded Rs 80 crore in the first five days. “It’s made approximately Rs 80 crore, which is reasonably good. But not that good, if you compare it with Bodyguard,” says Amod Mehra, a prominent tradesmith.

New 007 movie to be called "Skyfall"

The title of the 23rd James Bond film has been confirmed as Skyfall.

The latest 007 adventure will star Daniel Craig for the third time.

Leading ladies have been confirmed as French actress Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris.

Skyfall is being directed by Sam Mendes, who won an Oscar for 1999's American Beauty.

Rihanna forced to cancel for a 2nd time in Sweden

Organizers say Rihanna has been forced to cancel a show in Sweden due to exhaustion for a second time this week.

Live Nation spokesman Kristofer Akesson said the singer felt ill ahead of her concert in Stockholm last night and that she decided in consultation with a doctor to cancel the show about an hour before she was to go on stage.

The singer called off a concert in Malmo in southern Sweden on Monday, but was able to perform the following night in Stockholm.

Organizers are trying to arrange new dates for the shows.

Kim Kardashian Files For Divorce Saying "Sometimes Things Don't Work Out as Planned"

Kim released a statement about the divorce saying "I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision, I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."

That was fast! Kim Kardashian will file for divorce today from Kris Humphries. The couple has been married for 72 days. Ryan Seacrest confirmed that the story is true. Ryan tweeted, "Yes, Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few minutes."

Having divorced San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker in 2010, Eva was rumored to be dating Matt after the New York Post reported a dalliance on Sunday.

Priyanka Chopra refuses to return to Barfee

Anurag Basu's film Barfee is facing 'date' problems, once again. Thanks to lead actress Priyanka Chopra refusing to return to India to shoot for the film. The actress is currently busy recording and organising the release of her debut music album in North America. Basu's repeated efforts to convince the actress to return and complete the schedule have fallen on deaf ears.

The actress has informed the Barfee makers that she would only be able to allot dates for the schedule in January next year.

Priyanka's sudden passion for music seems to have left co-actors Ileana D'Cruz and Ranbir Kapoor with very little to do. A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Ileana has gone back to her parents' place to spend some quality time with them. Still, Priyanka's cancellation of dates has inconvenienced Ileana quite a bit."

"Ranbir too was supposed to shoot scenes with Priyanka in the next couple of days. However, since she isn't coming back to the sets of Barfee for the time being, Ranbir has decided to spend all that time promoting his next film Rockstar," added the source.

My films are competing with each other: Kareena

With RA.One touted to cross the 100-crore mark at the box office as it releases this Diwali, Kareena Kapoor is staring at her fourth film to achieve such a feat and the actor says it is great that her films are competing with each other.

Her earlier films 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3 and Bodyguard grossed more than Rs 100 crores and RA.One might become Kareena's fourth film to break the box office record, making her the only actor in the history of Indian cinema to achieve this feat.

"It is a wonderful stint to be a part of. To have such great successes like 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3 and Bodyguard with Aamir, Ajay and Salman is a wonderful thing. Now with Shahrukh, I am looking forward to RA.One.

"I keep hearing all such fantabulous box office figures every now and then. If RA.One indeed manages to do as well as predicted, then nothing better than that. My films are competing with my own films and that is a great feeling," Kareena told PTI.

Bodyguard netted over 100 crores in it's extended first week and RA.One may break the record with a much bigger release on the extended weekend of Diwali.

Vidya Balan hospitalised

Vidya has been taking her role in The Dirty Picture very seriously. With constant shoots and the stress it obviously entails, Vidya started feeling rather dizzy and restless about ten days back. Her parents took her to the doctor who advised immediate hospitalisation.

Reportedly, Vidya was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and was kept under observation for three days. A source explained that the actress underwent several tests and the results indicated that her hemoglobin level was too low. She was put on drip. “Even though she has been discharged, the doctors have given Vidya strict instructions to rest for the next week,” said the source.

With the actress asked to put work aside for sometime, the last few shoots for The Dirty Picture will have to wait. The source explained, “There are still about five to six days of filming left. With Vidya recuperating, the shoot will have to wait. Ekta and Milan, however, are not worried about the delay. But definitely this delay is cutting too close to the scheduled November 2 release.”

Tori Spelling Welcomes Third Child!

Tori Spelling is an excited new mother.

The actress and husband Dean McDermott welcomed their third child into the world yesterday, as confirmed by Spelling herself via Twitter:

"Our family's so happy 2 announce [that on] 10/10/11 [our] baby girl Hattie Margaret McDermott was born at 7:08am! Xoxo."

Spelling and McDermott, who love nothing more than sharing their personal lives on social networks and reality programs, have two other kids:, Stella, 3, and Liam, 4. McDermott also has a 13-year-old son, Jack, from a previous marriage.

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 37, who is eight months pregnant, attended the launch of the Sri Hanuman Chalisa album in Mumbai on Sunday.

Rihanna has scored the sixth UK number one of her career with We Found Love.

The song, which features Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, sold 87,000 copies and saw off its rivals, despite only being released on Wednesday.

The singer has now secured six chart-toppers in the past five years, a first for a female artist.

In the album chart, James Morrison held onto the top spot despite a fervent challenge from You Me At Six.

The Surrey rock made their debut at number three with Sinners Never Sleep, their third album and best showing to date.

If you've signed on to play female lead in the third installment of Dhoom series, it's not going to be cakewalk. Katrina Kaif is learning this fact the hard way these days. Katrina will not only act and perform stunts but also sing in the film!

Kat was planning a family holiday but had to cancel. "Katrina received an urgent return-to-duty call from Yashraj Films to not just learn some heavy-duty stunts but also exercise her vocal chords for her role in the sequel to Dhoom. She will need to undertake paragliding lessons and a full-fledged singing course for the project. Katrina has to go one up on the last Dhoom heroine Aishwarya Rai. That's a tall order in itself," a source told Subhash K Jha.

This is the first time Katrina Kaif will be crooning. She is also expected to sing in her Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star Ali Zafar's album.

Deepika: 'Pilates keeps me fit'

For Deepika Padukone, fitness is not an option, it's her lifestyle. Instead of making diets and exercise a compulsion and driving yourself up the wall to follow them, make them a part of your lifestyle," is her advice. The actor says little things like a 20-minute brisk walk around your building and taking stairs are good enough to maintain an average fitness level.

"People take a lift to the second floor. Can't you climb? At airports or in my building, I don't use escalators," she says. Deepika is also a sports freak. While it is a known fact that the actor was an avid badminton player before she joined films, she tries and maintains her fitness routine even now. She says that she tries to play sports on outdoor shoots. If she can't go to the gym, she swims or dances in her room.

Experts also say that it is the best way to keep fit even without doing a rigorous exercise schedule. During her athlete days, when she played badminton, she starting the day running for forty minutes, combined with weight training. Evenings were spent playing badminton for three to four hours, five times a week.

Jackson trial: Singer 'was dead' on arrival to hospital

Jurors at the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray have been told the singer was clinically dead when he arrived in hospital.

Two emergency room doctors said they tried to resuscitate the pop star because Dr Murray insisted on it, but they believed the efforts were futile.

Prosecutors allege Dr Murray lied to paramedics about Jackson's health, and covered up his use of propofol.

The doctor pleads not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Ex-Sri Lankan beauty queen-turned-actor Jacqueline Fernandes feels lucky to be working with actor Hrithik Roshan. She has just replaced Chitrangda Singh in Krissh 3 and will play the role of a female mutant.

Jacqueline says, "I am excited and gearing up for my first action film." She has, in the past, shot an ad with the film's lead actor, Hrithik Roshan when she was new to the city and hadn't done any films. She says, "I was a random 'foreign' model and he was a huge star. I saw him at an award function later, but I didn't think he would remember me. Even after signing Krissh 3, I didn't think he would recall me from the ad."

So, has she met Hrithik yet? "We haven't met after signing the film. I had a narration and meeting with Rakesh Roshan (director). I don't know the dates yet," she says.

This time, it's Yemen's refugees who have her full attention. The star praised a group aiding the Yemenis at the U.N. Refugee Agency Awards in Switzerland.

Jolie was nothing short of inspiring at the Geneva-based agency, honoring Yemen's Society for Humanitarian Solidarity with the agency's top annual award.

The organization was honored for helping thousands of Somali refugees and migrants who flee to Yemen in smuggler's boats across the Gulf of Aden.

How to get a body like Lara

Pregnancy has not stopped actress Lara Dutta from taking a break from work. The actress, who is expecting her first child, has started editing her third fitness DVD, and says it will hit stores by the end of October.

"Going in to edit the third DVD in the 'Heal With Lara' series. Revisiting the footage after a while," the 33-year-old posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Lara, who is married to tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi, launched her first DVD "Yoga: Recovery and Rejuvenation" in November 2010. Her second offering was named "Power Play", and was launched in the market in March.
